We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Manager/Gardener to join the team at our lovely clients’ newly renovated secondary residence near St Tropez. The family are looking for someone who is willing to make a long-term commitment to ensure the smooth running of their beautiful property throughout the year.

The day-to-day duties will include minor repairs and maintenance throughout the home and property, supervision and coordination of tradesmen and external contractors, as well as gardening and grounds work, which will include lawn and plant care, keeping the indoor and outdoor pool areas clean, and the general upkeep of the exterior of the home. A newly renovated property, there is high-end technology and systems throughout the property, so the ideal candidate will be tech savvy.

You must have comprehensive experience and knowledge of working in gardens to a high standard, and also be hands-on and practical when it comes to maintenance issues, able to deal with any small maintenance tasks in and around the property, as well as maintenance of the car fleet. A valid and clean EU driving license is required for this role, as ad-hoc errand running and driving will be required.

Usual working hours are 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, but the flexibility to work weekends and public holidays is imperative for this role. Accommodation will be provided in a separate, shared 4-bedroom home with your own en-suite bathroom. Live-out candidates can also be considered for this role, if the candidate lives in the local vicinity and has their own reliable transportation.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Maintaining and watering flower and plant beds, maintaining lawns (mowing, treatments, watering) and maintaining trees and shrubs (prune them for example)
• Maintain the tools and machines used for this work such as motor mowers, tractors, leaf blowers etc.
• Maintain the irrigation system and fix it when necessary
• Deal with any minor repairs/maintenance issues throughout the property
• Swimming pool maintenance and cleaning
• Cleaning and maintenance of outdoor areas – patios, driveway, walkways etc.
• Ad-hoc driving and errand running
• Maintaining and cleaning the family’s cars

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Previous experience working for UHNW families in a private household
• Self-starter who can work autonomously
• Hands-on and practical, as well as tech savvy (ideally)
• Problem solver with a can-do attitude
• Valid and clean EU driving licence
• Willingness to work at the weekends and during holiday season, when technical problems occur
• Tidy in your work with very high attention to detail
• Eligibility to live and work in the EU
• Excellent checkable references
