A lovely high-net-worth family are looking to hire an experienced, energetic, and self-directed live-in Nanny with 5+ years experience to assist with the care of their two children aged 6 and 14. A busy family home, our clients are looking for someone who has relevant childcare experience with children of similar ages, a positive can-do attitude and a team player mentality.

Ensuring that the children feel safe and cared for, the role will be a mix of sole care and shared care, so brilliant communication skills are required to ensure the smooth running of the family’s day. You will accompany the children on the school drop off/pick up with the family Chauffeur and assist the younger child with schoolwork. Energetic, proactive, and engaging, you will also oversee playtime with the younger child and organise after-school activities such as cultural excursions, nature walks, and arts and crafts activities.

The family employ a full-time daily housekeeper, but a flexible approach and willingness to assist with household chores will be required for this role. Other responsibilities will include light cooking and preparation of snacks for the children, washing and ironing the children’s clothes and cleaning/tidying the children’s bedroom and playroom. Occasionally the younger child will wake in the night due to a nightmare or needing to use the bathroom, and the Nanny should be prepared to attend to the child in this case.

A live-in role, working hours will be Tuesday – Friday from 2:30pm–11:00pm and Saturdays from 7am–7pm with Sunday and Monday off. Accommodation is provided in a large apartment at the family’s residence on the first floor with access via a separate front door. You will have your own en-suite bedroom as well as separate kitchen/dining area. The family often travel during the school holidays and would require the nanny to find their own accommodation for these periods.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Looking after 2 boys, 6 and 14 years
• Preparing snacks or cooking a light meal for the children after school
• Assisting with homework and supervised play for the younger child
• Cleaning up after the children, tidying the playroom and assisting the housekeeper when needed
• Arranging after school activities and assisting with homework and projects
• Ensuring that their equipment, school uniforms, school bags etc. are sorted out and ready to go
• Ad hoc duties when required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior private Nanny experience in a high-net-worth household
• Proven experience caring for children of similar ages
• Good knowledge of child development and milestones
• Flexibility to find own accommodation when the family travel
• Well-mannered and a pleasure to have around
• Organised and methodical
• Lots of initiative, creative and playful
• Willingness to assist with household chores & housekeeping duties
• Excellent English language skills
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one
• Excellent checkable references
