PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER/COOK IN NOTTING HILL


 We have a great opportunity for an experienced part-time Housekeeper/Cook for a client based in a 2-bedroom apartment in Notting Hill, London. This client is looking to appoint a trustworthy self-starter to support with housekeeping and casual cooking duties on a part-time basis of 3 days per week, totalling 10 hours.

Supporting only one client, you will have exacting standards; a keen eye for detail and can hit the ground running from day one. Duties include all aspects of housekeeping, laundry, as well as tidying the general areas. A large part of this role is focused on preparing simple, homely meals cooking for the principal to heat up at a later stage, or to stock the fridge with.

An expert in all household cleaning and laundry, you will need to have excellent knowledge of cleaning products and the know-how to care for fine fabrics and finishes. You will be a team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude, and a professional and discreet demeanour. Clear communication and the ability to take direction are essential qualities for this role.

Working days will be 3 days per week (days negotiable), with a total of 10 hours per week.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen
• Laundry and ironing
• Meal preparation and cooking
• Managing stocks of cleaning products
• Rubbish and recycling management
• Running errands
• Ad-hoc duties as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior housekeeping experience within in a private household
• Fluency in spoken English
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Passion for cooking homely, simple meals
• Hardworking and dedicated
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one
• High attention to detail and exacting standards
• Flexibility with hours and duties
• Able to work independently
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Excellent checkable references
