SEEKING A GERMAN-SPEAKING PRIVATE PA
We have a great opportunity for a Private PA to support a lovely client on a part-time basis. Along with traditional Private PA duties in a private household, you will assist the principal with all household and lifestyle management, and provide administrative support to the Head of the Family Office and Lead of the Dog Team.
The ideal candidate will become the gatekeeper for the principal, you will assist with managing their busy schedule, shopping, scheduling appointments, and acting as a liaison between the Principal and the Family Office.
In addition to this, you will also be responsible for managing the principal’s residence – overseeing and delegating the household staff, scheduling staff rotas, inventorying, and being a main point of contact for the staff.
A team of dog nannies looks after the principal’s numerous medium-sized dogs - you will liaise between the team, principal and office to ensure everything runs smoothly at all times. This role is suitable for dog-friendly candidates, that take a keen interest in dog-related topics and strive to learn more. The ideal candidate will be available and willing to stay overnight if one of the dog team members is unavailable.
Service-orientated, positive and respectful – you will be able to build friendly working relationships with ease. Solution-focused, you will overcome all hurdles in a calm and professional manner. You will be highly organised, efficient and hardworking, always going above and beyond to ensure the principal’s needs are met.
This role is part-time, typically working Monday – Friday afternoons from the principal’s residence near Zurich, with one full day during the week from the Family Office in Canton Zug. A high degree of flexibility in terms of working hours is essential for this role, and on-call availability is imperative. You will travel with the principal on occasion within Europe.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Household management – scheduling and delegating of household staff, managing inventories, overseeing vendors, and organising the residence
• Act as a gate-keeper whilst always prioritising the needs of the principal
• Personal shopping for the principal
• Provide some administrative support to the office
• Confident in creating expense reports, managing bills and expenses
• Day-to-day administration duties
• Handle sensitive and highly confidential information
• Travel management and scheduling – flights, hotels, cars, and logistics
• Travelling with the principal when required
• Undertake any ad-hoc tasks as required
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Must have a love for dogs
• German to a mother tongue level and fluency in English, Swiss German fluency is also beneficial
• High level of flexibility and availability
• Professional demeanour and etiquette
• Attention to detail, highly organised and efficient
• Trustworthy, loyal, and discreet
• Great communicator
• Excellent personal ethics
• Independent, adaptive, and always reachable
• Willingness to travel
• Swiss driver’s license – category B
• French language ability is a plus but not required
• Excellent checkable reference
