We have an amazing opportunity for a Junior/Apprentice Gardener who wishes to work in large private high net worth estate in Middlesex. Reporting to the Head Gardener and working collaboratively as part of a team, you will be energetic, hard working and a quick learner with the ability to follow instructions.

A large estate of 30+ acres, you will be involved in the upkeep of woodlands, footpaths, lakes, formal gardens, and lawns as well as fruit and vegetable gardens. Horticulturally trained, you will have knowledge of how to care for and monitor plants to ensure year-round health.

The garden duties will include propagation, maintaining manicured lawns, topiary and hedges, annual plant, and garden management, irrigation and maintaining the woodlands, fences, lakes, and hedges.
Further responsibilities will include the maintenance of garden equipment and machinery, as well as the maintenance of the tennis court and swimming pool. Attention to details and high working standards are essential for this role.

A live-out role, usual working hours are from 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Horticulturally trained
• RHS or NVQ Level 1 and ideally 1-2 years' experience
• Ideally some prior gardening experience as part of a team would be beneficial
• Team player who is happy to report into the Head Gardener
• Tidy in your work with very high attention to detail
• General maintenance skills
• Self-motivated and positive attitude
• Experience of physical work
• Ability to work with others and to follow instructions from supervisors and managers
• Flexible and happy to muck in
• Valid UK driving licence
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Vaccinated candidates are preferred
• Excellent checkable reference
