LIVE-IN TRAVELLING BUTLER – LONDON & LOS ANGELES

We have an amazing opportunity for a professional, Live-in Travelling Butler & Personal Valet to support a UHNWI based at both their London & Los Angeles residences. Our client is looking for an all- rounder, who is happy to help out wherever necessary in the home.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working as a Butler for HNWI or in 5-star hotels. Our client is looking for someone confident in service, as well as working with delicate garments, as you will be responsible for managing the principal’s wardrobe, with an emphasis on packing and unpacking during travels. Overseeing a housekeeper as well as coordinating with a Chef & Chauffeur, you will also be a team player and happy to help wherever is needed to provide consistent service. Being able to switch between being formal during times when the client is entertaining, but also being able to be a bit less formal during a normal day to provide a relaxing environment for the Principal.

This position requires a great deal of flexibility, as you will be expected to travel internationally with summers spent predominantly in London, and winters in Los Angeles with some extra travel between.

This is a live-in role with all travel expenses included. Working days will be Monday to Saturday generally, however, days and hours vary according to the Principals’ schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensuring proper service
  • Meeting guests and taking care of their needs
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and order in the property
  • Table setting, serving meals and drinks, cleaning the table
  • Packing and unpacking of suitcases
  • Wardrobe management
  • Overseeing laundry
  • Liaising with chef and housekeeper to coordinate and ensure their proper working process
  • Providing 5-star service at all times in a relaxed atmosphere
  • Ensuring the home is run to an optimal standard
  • Running of any ad-hoc errands

  • Positive, patient, confident, and able to maintain the utmost confidentiality and discretion
  • Strong analytic, communication, and management skills
  • Experience with high-level entertaining with a strong eye for detail
  • Polished, professional, with a friendly demeanor
  • Excellent communication skills and highly personable
  • Hardworking, dedicated, and loyal
  • Have excellent checkable references
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK. Assistance will be provided to process a visa for time spent in the USA
