ROTATIONAL CHIEF ENGINEER NEEDED FOR A 59m MY
Start Date: Jan 2025
Schedule: Caribbean, Alaska, Costa Rica, the Galapagos, South Pacific, Indian Ocean, Australasia, and Asia
Our client is looking for a dedicated and experienced Chief Engineer with a hands-on approach to join their esteemed team aboard a 59m Northern European superyacht that boasts a legacy of excellence and adventure. Committed to maintaining the highest standards while navigating an exciting itinerary for 2024/25.
This is an incredible opportunity for the right candidate to take on a leadership role in maintaining the vessel, which will soon approach its 25-year survey in 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to manage both the maintenance challenges of an ageing vessel and the technical operations necessary for smooth sailing.
Private yacht with occasional charters.
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION:
- Minimum Y2 Engineer Certificate (preferably with Cayman Islands endorsement)
- Valid B1/B2 Visa
- Proven track record as a Chief Engineer on similar-sized vessels
- Strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills
PACKAGE:
- Salary: 8,500 - 9000 Euro per month
- Rotation: 8:8
- Discretionary 13th month bonus
- Contractual annual salary review
- A healthy budget for vessel maintenance and a comprehensive training program
- Shared cabin with the 2nd Engineer, fostering teamwork and camaraderie
- An exciting worldwide itinerary
- Flights
- Medical
