JUNIOR PRIVATE PA TO WORLD-RENOWNED FILM DIRECTOR
This is an incredible opportunity for a Junior Private PA to support a world-renowned Film Director on-set, as well as across the principal's homes in Central London and the Home Counties. Reporting to both the principal and the Chief of Staff, this position is working in a dynamic, creative environment where you will need to be adaptable to the fast-paced and ever-changing workload. This unique opportunity will provide incredible experience in the film industry and will suit someone with a background in film and/or a passion for the industry.
We require an individual who works with the principal’s EA to become a gatekeeper for the principal and can understand and prioritise what is important to discuss in a minimal amount of time. Someone who can be reactive but calm, tenacious, confident, and always able to work on the go.
The ideal candidate will be hardworking, committed, efficient, and highly personable with excellent communication skills. You will also need to be flexible in terms of location as the role is split between two locations (primarily in London, and occasionally in the Home Counties, with travel expenses covered when not in London). You may, from time to time, be asked to work in different locations and sets during periods of filming or be asked to accompany the principal during family holidays
Usual working hours are 5 days per week 8:30am-7:00pm with flexibility for evenings and weekends when required. A proportion of the tasks will be related to global business; therefore, you must manage your time with the EA, with the awareness of time differences and international office opening hours.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Working as part of a team of assistants, drivers, and runners.
• Assist the EA with the principal's extremely busy diary and communicate effectively with the family assistants to ensure that his schedule is managed appropriately.
• Acting on the principal's behalf where necessary and being his gatekeeper and right-hand, specifically in London and on set.
• Liaising with professional advisers, including agents, publicists, lawyers, in-house accounts team and consultants, and the wider team.
• Assist in arranging all business travel.
• Ensuring clear communication about all arrangements to the broader team and household.
• Assisting in managing memberships/subscriptions with industry bodies/organisations as and when needed.
• Ensuring the principal's confidentiality is kept at all times.
• Ultimately allowing the principal to focus on his businesses and the smooth running of the environment around them.
• Running errands and ad-hoc tasks.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• Prior experience in a role as a Runner or Junior Private PA.
• Passion for the film industry.
• Confident, tenacious and proactive.
• Anticipatory and able to pre-empt the principal’s needs.
• Critical reasoning and analytical skills.
• Communicate in a clear manner.
• Excellent management skills.
• Collaborative team player.
• Full driving licence (desirable).
• Knowledge of Apple products/IT literate.
• Excellent checkable references.
If this sounds of interest and you meet the essential criteria, then please apply within or get in touch to find out more.
