LAUNDRESS, WARDROBE MANAGER + HEAD HOUSEKEEPER

We have an amazing opportunity for an experienced and highly talented Laundress and Wardrobe Manager to work for a high profile ultra-high net worth individual in their two London residences, and additional residence outside of London. The principal is a well-known prominent figure, who has a variety of business interests, as well as a portfolio of five properties internationally.

You will be responsible for the management of the principal’s clothing to exacting standards, including extensive care for delicate items and fine fabrics. You will be responsible for managing his wardrobe, rotating his clothes seasonally, styling and advising on outfits, packing and unpacking for the principal and his guests, as well as managing inventories of clothing, shoes and jewellery.

As head housekeeper, you will also oversee two housekeeping staff and assist them across the household as required.

Usual working hours are (45-hour weeks) 5 days a week, with occasional flexibility required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Laundry of all clothing - care and laundering of fine fabrics including cashmere, silks, bespoke suit materials etc
• Ironing, pressing, folding and appropriately hanging/storing all items
• Management and organisation of all the principal’s clothing to an extremely high standard
• Packing and unpacking to a very high standard
• Preparing daily clothing options – smart and casual options to allow choice
• Tailoring and alterations of clothing
• Clothing and wardrobe itineraries
• Organisation and management of jewellery and watches
• Managing and caring for extensive shoe collection
• Overseeing daily functions of housekeeping team and assisting them across all duties when required.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Previous high-end Laundry experience in a similar role supporting a UHNWI within a private household
• Excellent knowledge of fabric care
• Very high attention to detail
• Team player
• Discreet and professional
• Confidence when dealing with big personalities
• Trustworthy and handles confidential information appropriately
• Good standard of written and spoken English
• Right to work within the UK
• Driving license would be preferable
• Excellent checkable references
