FULL-TIME LIVE-IN NANNY FOR NEWBORN BABY – UHNW

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced nanny to support an ultra-high net worth family caring for their 10-week-old baby. This is an amazing role for a candidate looking to join a fun, kind but busy household on a longstanding basis. The family are looking for an energetic, caring and organised Nanny, with experience of looking after a baby of similar age. There are two children (baby and toddler) and there will be two full-time live-in nannies with this role primarily focusing on the baby. The mother works from home and would ideally like a Nanny who is happy to take sole charge of the new-born baby, establishing a steady sleep schedule. The family also employ a full-time live-in Housekeeper and there is very much a team mentality with everyone chipping in where required.

A full-board, live-in role, you will be required to work around the clock (24/5) until the baby is in a stable routine. You will co-nanny and work in partnership with the family and PA to ensure that the children’s diaries remain busy and fulfilling. A nanny who is a confident cook would be advantageous so that they are able to plan healthy, balanced meals throughout the course of the week with a great knowledge of Indian cuisine – but this is not essential.

The ideal candidate would be flexible, super switched on and well educated with a can-do attitude. A driver is advantageous but not essential. The role is 24/5 with two guaranteed days off each week on a rota basis (the family try to guarantee at least one weekend off every month. Initially, you will sleep in the nursery with the baby and share the bathroom with the other nanny, however next year you will have your own private bedroom.

DUTIES FOR THE ROLE INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Creating a safe, warm and stimulating environment for the children
• Bathing and dressing
• Changing diapers and potty-training, if age-appropriate
• Children’s laundry and wardrobe maintenance
• Planning meals (on occasion full family), preparing food, and/or feeding the children
• Arranging playdates and outings
• Indoor and outdoor play
• Educational activities and crafts
• Reading to the children
• Help with homework
• Organising bedrooms/toys
• Administering medicine with parents’ consent, if necessary
• Maintaining logs for the parents
• Light housekeeping
• Worldwide/UK Travel (with prior notice)
• Bed and bath routine
• Develop a successful plan to getting the baby to sleep through the night and nap as reasonably possible in a healthy manner
• Understand and can recognise the signs of possible food allergies, intolerances and reflux and knows how to help
• Light housekeeping duties might include grocery shopping, family errands, emptying the trash, loading and unloading the dishwasher, and keeping the kitchen and kids’ areas clean and tidy.)

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Have longstanding solid experience as a Nanny with new-born babies
• Work independently with only minimal guidance from parents
• Well versed in helping establish good feeding and sleeping habits
• Well versed in supporting family values and beliefs
• Behave in a professional manner and maintain family confidentiality
• Looked after 2+ children at a time
• Have excellent contactable references
• Full, clean DBS
• Valid Passport
• Driver’s license would be advantageous but is not essential
• Fluency in English – spoken and written

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Educated to A-level or above
• Further training in childcare and development such as a formal nanny training program, early childhood classes and/or in-service training
• Proven childcare experience with checkable references
• First Aid and CPR certification

KEY NANNY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
• Flexibility
• Adaptability
• Ability to multitask
• Emotional maturity
• Good judgment skills
• Planning and organising skills
• Stress tolerance
• High energy level
• Enthusiasm
