PROPERTY MAINTENANCE MANAGER FOR UHNW IN ST TROPEZ

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced French-speaking & hands-on Property Maintenance Manager to support a lovely high-net-worth family for their properties in St Tropez, France & other locations. This role is open to both live-out and live-in candidates if you already have accommodations close to the main residence near St Tropez.

A varied role where you will be hands-on across the properties and also arrange and supervise contractors, negotiate rates & source new suppliers, putting in place budgets. You will require extensive skills in general property maintenance to ensure both preventive and remedial maintenance is carried out. A background in looking after high-end properties or hotels, engineering, or someone with many years of experience in construction or as a project manager would be suitable for this role.

Responsible for all systems in the home such as air-con, CCTV, plumbing, alarms, boilers, AV equipment & internet, etc. You will ensure manuals and maintenance schedules are set up and followed, including health & safety issues assessed and dealt with. Familiarisation with other staff to household systems so that they are able to troubleshoot should something occur in your absence.

This will be a full-time role, Monday to Friday 9 am – 6 pm with an occasional weekend if you are required to travel with the principal to other properties.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Managing the security system (securing the house during the family's absence etc)
• Scheduling and supervising household maintenance and repairs with contractors and service companies; checking and monitoring completed work
• Ensuring that the household entertainment/air con/lighting and heating systems are working
• Ensure the House Manuals are accurate and up-to-date
• Health & Safety Management: Ensure regular emergency equipment checks including lift/fire and intruder alarms/emergency lighting and fire extinguishers are completed
• Liaising with contractors and monitoring quality/deadlines for works done and service provided; competition quotes obtained on annual contracts and comparison made.
• Organising and completing preventative maintenance and periodic maintenance inspections
• Arranging gas safety/electrical inspection etc
• Ensuring that adequate planning and budgetary provision is made for maintenance and repair works
• Identify contracts maturing/arising and plan for these contracts in advance

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• Extensive experience in high-end properties or hotels property maintenance, engineering, or someone with many years of experience in construction or as a project manager
• Familiar with air-con systems, CCTV, plumbing, alarms, boilers, AV equipment & internet, etc
• French & English speaking, strong communication skills
• Professional, hardworking & trustworthy
• Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet
• Knowledge of Health & Safety practices, risk management, and insurance policies
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work at a fast pace
• Flexibility and willingness to travel when required
• On-call availability
• Confident driver with full, clean driver’s license
• Excellent checkable references
