TEMPORARY BUTLER REQUIRED FOR UHNW RESIDENCE
Location: Westminster, London
Contract: Full-time, Temporary
Salary: £290 per day, negotiable (self-employed or on payroll)
Status: Live-out
A high-profile Middle Eastern family are looking to appoint a professional, experienced, and discreet Temporary Butler to work at their large, fully staffed penthouse apartment in Central London. The role is to start as soon as possible and will be for 3 weeks (possibly more, depending on the family’s schedule). Working alongside other butlers and a large housekeeping team, someone with a team player mentality, a willingness to muck in where required and a positive, energetic approach is required for this role.
Working in a shift pattern with other temporary butlers as well as the family’s travelling staff, duties will include providing a seamless food and beverage service, both formal and informal, and working collaboratively with other household staff to ensure that all of the family’s needs are met. The principals have a preference for candidates with a yachting background, though this is not an essential requirement.
A live-out role, this is a 6-day-per-week role with 10-hour shift patterns, both day shifts (8am-6pm and 12pm-10pm) and night shifts (4pm-2am and 8pm-6am) Hot meals and beverages will be provided on-site and there is a fully equipped staff area where breaks can be taken throughout your shift. Candidates must be London based to ensure a fuss-free commute and a taxi home will be provided if you finish after 11pm (within London only).
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Front of house duties, meeting and greeting guests
• Formal service in the dining area when entertaining
• Informal service throughout the day/night in the living and entertainment areas
• Preparing and serving hot and cold beverages
• Ensuring service preparation areas are clean and tidy
• Liaising with the Chef with regards to mealtimes
• Working collaboratively with other household staff to ensure the smooth running of the household
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior experience as a Butler or formal butler training
• Formal service experience
• A yachting background (ideally)
• Hardworking, loyal, and discreet
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• A good level of spoken English
• Flexible and adaptable
• High attention to detail
• Well-presented and articulate
• London based
• Excellent checkable references
