We are working with our clients to find a Spanish-speaking, Live-in Housekeeper/Cook and Houseman/Gardener team for a large villa in Ibiza.

This gorgeous property is used by two owners as well as exclusive rentals throughout the year so we are hoping to find great communicators who can not only liaise with the principals but also the family office. It is important we find candidates who are happy to follow instructions but also be proactive in their work, ensuring high standards are met at all times.

As the Housekeeper you will be responsible for maintaining the interior of the family home, including bed making and changing linen and towels, laundry and ironing and ensuring the restock of toiletries. You will also be responsible for changing the poolside towels daily, rubbish/recycling maintenance, packing and unpacking for the guests/principals and all other general housekeeping duties. There may be times when there are quick turn overs between guests, so you must ensure you can work quickly and to a deadline in these instances.

At least one candidate may be required to cook and do the grocery shopping for the guests, so having a strong knowledge of different cuisines/dietary requirements could be an added bonus.

As the Houseman/Gardener, you will be responsible for the exterior of the family home, including all minor DIY and repairs and sweeping and mopping the courtyard. Part of your daily duties will be the swimming pool maintenance which would include daily chemical checking as well as clearing any debris. You will also be responsible for setting up the garden furniture, cleaning and oiling exterior doors, basic plumbing and electrical work and replacing the interior and exterior lightbulbs when needed.

There is a gardening company that oversees the larger landscaping responsibilities; however, you will be responsible for the daily plant watering, mowing the lawn and general upkeep of the garden, ensuring all windows are clean, gutters are clear and irrigation system is working properly. You should have good knowledge of chemicals and other such garden equipment needed to complete these jobs.

The principals are looking for down-to-earth candidates who are highly professional, experienced and happy to muck in when needed. The principals also have dogs, so it is imperative you are pet friendly. The ideal candidates will be great team players who are friendly, personable and can speak English and Spanish fluently.

Both individuals must have DBS/local police check and have previous experience working together as a couple. Due to the remote location of the property, at least one candidate (but ideally both) must have a driving license and both candidates must be eligible to work in Spain.

Working hours will be Monday – Friday 07:30-19:30 and Saturday from 07:30-13:00. Private, separate accommodation will be provided on site, and you will be provided with a car for work purposes.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen
• Cooking healthy, nutritious meals
• Grocery shopping and other ad-hoc duties
• Making beds and changing bed linen
• Polishing brass and silver, art, and fine furniture
• Laundry care, including ironing and handling delicate fabrics
• Household maintenance and DIY (e.g., light bulb replacement, loose tap fixings, paint touch up etc.)
• Ensuring walkways and driveways are clean and tidy
• Swimming Pool maintenance
• Driving and assistance in caring for the cars
• Pet care
• Estate Security

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Good knowledge of housekeeping with prior private household, superyachts, or chalet management experience
• Friendly, down-to-earth, and approachable
• Team players with a willingness to learn and muck in where required
• Fluency in English and good communication skills
• Eligibility to work in the Spain
• Hardworking and dedicated
• Hands-on, can-do attitudes
• Driving license for at least one candidate but ideally both
• DBS/local police check or willingness to get one
• Excellent checkable references
