JUNIOR HOUSE MANAGER/HOUSEKEEPER NEEDED IN IBIZA
We have a career-defining opportunity for a Spanish and English speaking, highly experienced, discreet and guest orientated House Manager/Housekeeper to oversee the successful operation of a prominent upmarket holiday estate catering for ultra-high net worth guests in Ibiza, Spain. The ideal candidate will have previous relevant work experience managing private residences/estates, be discreet and an excellent Front of House. Our clients are looking for a confident individual capable of directing the management of the property into an impeccably run operation.
This is a varied position that will require efficient management of the four villas, excellent guest relations, extensive third-party contractor liaising, as well as a business mindset to aid future growth. To be successful in this role, you will be able to work independently as well as have a hardworking ‘hands-on’ approach. You will be professional, boundaried, loyal, and highly discreet. You will have excellent managerial skills and be able to ensure you always get the best from your team.
This role will cover all aspects of guest management, from start to finish. For this reason, we are looking for someone who is happy to muck in wherever needed and always be on hand to provide 5-star service at each step of the way.
This is a live-out position and would suit an individual familiar with the island and working with local vendors and contractors. During peak season, flexibility will be required in terms of working hours, with leave and time off dedicated to low season. Flexibility is essential for this role.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
• Oversight of the properties; ensuring consistency of standards, procedures, and services
• Maintaining all property calendars; scheduling any services and providing prior notification to principals
• Creating manuals and staff work schedules; overseeing hiring, training, and supervision of household and grounds staff
• Acting as the main point of contact and gatekeeper for principals and assisting with any additional guests
• Managing guest bookings and relations from start to finish
• Ensure that the properties are always maintained to the highest possible standard
• Tending to guests’ needs and occasionally providing service during events
• Dealing quickly and responsibly with any rental issues that arise, as well as handling special requests
• Leading the operations of the property
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Previous experience in a similar role for a private family
• Experience dealing with high profile guests
• The utmost level of discretion
• Ability to prioritise and to be flexible in terms of working hours and schedules
• Positive, patient, confident and able to maintain the utmost confidentiality and discretion
• Strong analytic, communication, management and IT, computer skills
• Fluency in Spanish and English
• Familiar with the island and surroundings
• Polished and well-presented
• Proactive self-starter who can work autonomously
• Valid driver’s license
• Eligibility to work in Europe
• Excellent checkable references
