FRENCH-SPEAKING SENIOR PA BASED IN PARIS
This is an amazing opportunity for a highly-skilled and experienced Chief of Staff to support a lovely HNW family based in Paris, France. This role will involve providing general operational, administrative and personal assistance to the principals, who are an American married couple living with their child - they travel regularly to the US and divide their time between Paris and the U.S.
This is a new role supporting the principals across all areas of their private lives, so requires a self-confident COS with a wealth of experience who can establish the processes and structure required to ensure the principals' lives run smoothly, and their time is protected. By building rapport quickly with the principals, you will work to ensure their needs are pre-empted, and their lives are structured and fully resourced to ensure optimal efficiency. Their go-to for all matters, you will be trustworthy, reliable and an approachable right-hand whom they always trust to get the job done.
The family are an incredibly lovely couple to work with and value their staff immensely. Based in Paris, you will be required to have good local knowledge and contacts which will enable the family to better embed into their Paris lives. You will need to be flexible with hours, particularly across different time zones when the family are overseas, and may be required to travel on occasion.
The role will be a mix of remote home-working and working at the principal’s property, an office can also be provided if required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Entrepreneurial and independent: you will be a strategic “do-er” who is unafraid to take on a project and go above and beyond what is asked when there is a clear benefit in doing so
Proactive and direct: you hold the big picture and anticipate, make decisions and best guesses with a strategic and thoughtful mind, provide solutions and are comfortable making suggestions, proactively improving processes and finding better ways to do things.
Highly Organised: you will be naturally organised and able to create structure, stability, and systems, and provide the principals with a ‘feeling of safety’ by building support where there is none. Ability to organize around the core value principals have for peace, quiet and solitude for their creative work, serving as their ‘left brain’ so they are free to spend more time in their creativity.
Experienced: you will have valuable relevant experience and already have strong systems, contacts, best practices and tricks up your sleeves to apply to this new and exciting challenge. You will have the self-awareness to draw boundaries when and where required.
Autonomy: give trust and confidence to principals through words and actions. Be able to handle most things with basic instructions, whether you solve them on your own or with the support of others. Know how to ask for further clarity.
Excellent problem-solving & project management skills: you can operationalise tasks, and goals to make the project run smoothly. You think strategically and look at the whole picture then break it down into action items and priorities
Organised & efficient: you are highly organised and deeply resourceful. You know how to insulate principals from anything that does not require their involvement.
Exceptional communication skills: you are strategic and discrete. You are highly skilled at managing up. You know how to assess what's urgent and not
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
● Prior Chief of Staff experience, or very senior private PA experience, supporting an HNW family or individual
● Fluency in French and English
● Good knowledge of Paris, French culture, systems and administration, and a black book of contacts
● Paris-based or willing to relocate
● Excellent checkable references
