PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER REQUIRED IN HAMPSHIRE

We are assisting a HNWI with the recruitment of an experienced, efficient and proactive part-time Housekeeper to ensure the smooth running of their large secondary home in the East Hampshire countryside. Organised, self-motivated and able to take initiative, you will be responsible for the daily upkeep and cleanliness of this 7-bedroom property, ensuring that the home is maintained in the principal’s absence, and always ready for their arrival.

Duties will include laundry and ironing, dusting, tidying and cleaning of all areas to ensure that the home is kept in pristine condition at all times. Other duties will include liaising with contractors and service providers, receiving and unpacking deliveries, stocking the fridge and pantry according to the principal’s preferences, flower arranging and occasional assistance at events. The ideal candidate will be discreet and unobtrusive with an excellent eye for detail and the ability to pre-empt needs.

Working 5 hours per day, 5 days per week, the client is looking to appoint someone on a live-out basis, so having your own reliable vehicle and a driving license is imperative for this role. They are looking to appoint a trustworthy, reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to remain with them long-term. No pet care or childcare is required as part of the role.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Daily cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen
• Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management, including caring for fine fabrics
• Caring for antiques and surfaces with delicate finishes
• Managing stocks of cleaning products and online grocery shopping
• Getting the house ready ahead of the principal’s visit – bedroom and bathroom set-ups, flower arranging, fridge & pantry stocking and any other final touches
• Receipt of deliveries and greeting contractors and tradesmen
• Liaising with contractors on maintenance elements of the home such as annual servicing of boilers etc.
• Assisting with events from time to time (arranged in advance)
• Errand running

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior housekeeping experience in a high-end private household
• Hardworking and dedicated
• High attention to detail
• Able to work independently and proactively
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Fluency in English and the right to live and work in the UK
• Full, clean driving license
• Located in a commutable distance from the property (East Hampshire/West Surrey)
• Excellent checkable references
