COMPANION/HELPER FOR HNWI IN CENTRAL LONDON
We are assisting a lovely HNW family in Central London with the recruitment of a dedicated and trustworthy Companion/Helper for their visually impaired adult son. In his twenties, the young man has a zest for life and varied interests which include visiting museums, going to concerts and working out, so the family would like to appoint a Companion/Helper to accompany him on activities, and to assist with day-to-day life around the house.
The ideal candidate will naturally be kind, caring and patient, as well as fun-loving, proactive and able to use their initiative. Daily duties will include assisting the young man with meal preparation, cooking and cleaning up, accompanying him on outings and assisting with errand running and light housework when required. The family employ a cleaner and a driver, as well as another daily companion, so would like to appoint a team-player with a can-do attitude who is happy to muck in help where needed.
A full-time role, you will generally work from 11am-7pm from Thursday to Monday, but flexibility will be required depending on the young man’s exact schedule for the day. A candidate with a driving license is preferred, though this is not an essential requirement. Ideally, the family would like to hire a Companion/Helper on a live-out basis, but for the right candidate live-in accommodation can be provided, if needed.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Accompanying the young man on outings and activities in and around London
• Spending time with the young man, being a friend and a confidant to him
• Assisting with meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning up
• Providing general day-to-day assistance to the young man
• Assisting the cleaner with light housework when needed
• General errand running
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Prior experience supporting an impaired/vulnerable individual
• Prior experience in a HNW private household
• Active and energetic with good common sense and a proactive nature
• Kind, caring and patient
• Friendly and personable with good communication skills
• Discreet, highly trustworthy and responsible
• Adaptable and flexible
• Able to work independently as well as being a strong team player
• Enhanced DBS
• Right to live and work in the UK
• London-based (ideally)
• Full UK driving license (ideally)
• Excellent checkable references
