WEEKEND CHEF REQUIRED FOR UHNW FAMILY IN LONDON
An UHNW family of four are looking to recruit a creative Private Chef to work for them on an ongoing ad-hoc basis, covering weekends when they are in residence at their primary home in Chelsea, London. Versatility, creativity and the ability to adhere to dietary requirements whilst producing beautifully presented and delicious meals are all key skills for this role. This is a staffed residence, so an organised team player with good communication skills is required for this role.
The family eat a very healthy organic diet, avoiding sugar, salt and spices, but they enjoy variety in their diet – they like traditional British cuisine, especially a good roast, and also enjoy a broad range of Mediterranean dishes. The children (both aged under 7) eat the same food as their parents, but the family would like to have a few options at each meal to choose from. Preparing breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Chef will predominantly only cook for the family, but should be able to cater to larger groups in the event of the family having a dinner party.
The role is to work from Friday to Sunday, but the Chef will not be required when the family are travelling. The family are usually incredibly organised and able to give ample notice of when they will be travelling which will allow the Chef to take on other clients for that time if desired. As the family are early risers, the role requires an early start - breakfast is normally served at around 6:45am/7am, lunch at 12pm/12:30pm and dinner at 5:30/6pm.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
• Menu planning in line with dietary requirements and the principals’ preferences
• Preparing beautifully presented and delicious meals with accordance to the principals’ tastes
• Food ordering/shopping and liaising with the other household staff on deliveries
• Sourcing high quality, and where possible locally sourced, ingredients
• Maintaining hygiene standards to the highest level & ensuring the kitchen is always left clean and tidy at the end of the day
• Food quality control
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
• Prior experience as a Private Chef working for high-net-worth clients
• Ability to prepare delicious and creative meals whilst adhering to dietary requirements
• Experience of cooking for health-focused diets
• Good knowledge of ingredients and where to source the best produce
• Strict on hygiene procedures
• Highly organised, motivated and proactive
• Trustworthy, reliable and discreet
• Team player with strong communication skills
• Excellent checkable references
If this sounds of interest, and you meet the essential criteria, please get in touch to find out more or apply within.
