EXPERIENCED HEAD HOUSEKEEPER FOR NOTTING HILL HOME

A terrific opportunity has become available for an experienced and proactive Head Housekeeper to facilitate the smooth running of a large 5-storey luxury property in Notting Hill, London. A full-time residence for a busy family of 5 and their large friendly dog, you will work proactively alongside 4 other housekeepers, leading from the front to ensure that exceptional levels of cleanliness and organisation are maintained at all times.

With prior experience in a similar high-end home, you will be self-motivated and have excellent time management and communication skills, able to liaise with tradesmen and suppliers when needed. This is a hands-on role that requires someone with excellent high-end housekeeping, laundry, and ironing experience, as well as front of house and service experience. Additionally, you will assist the family’s PA with any administrative tasks required such as inventory management, stock ordering and updating household manuals.

Working hours are from Monday to Friday, from 9am-6pm with some flexibility required to work the odd evening (usually no later than 7pm). The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a calm, can-do attitude is of essence for this role, as is the ability to take any last-minute changes in your stride. The ideal candidate will be firm but fair, a true team player and have an excellent eye for detail.
Lunch is provided on-site every day.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
• Daily housekeeping and cleaning of the property ensuring that all bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors and communal areas are maintained to include dusting, vacuuming and mopping
• Changing linen and making beds to a 5-star standard
• Cleaning and sanitising bathrooms, replacing towels and amenities
• Ensuring all areas of the house are reset after use
• Managing laundry and ironing, including delicates care
• Serving at the table; laying and clearing tables
• Arrange for dry cleaning to be sent and document items sent/received
• Assisting the PA with any administrative duties required
• Be the first point of contact for the family in relation to all things housekeeping, laundry & service
• Understand all mechanical operations of the house to include heating, alarm, TV/audio etc.
• Be on hand to supervise contractors when they attend the property
• Reporting any household maintenance required to the PA
• Overseeing the standards of work and providing correction and training as and where needed in a pleasant manner
• Ad-hoc errand running

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior experience in a high-end private household or superyacht
• Excellent communicator with fluent spoken and written English skills
• Hardworking with a ‘can-do’ positive attitude
• A strong multi-tasker and time manager
• Self-directed with the ability to guide and oversee others, providing training where needed
• Brilliant eye for detail
• Tech-savvy and able to manage modern household technology
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Flexible and adaptable
• The right to live and work in the UK and London-based
• Excellent checkable references
