HOUSEKEEPER FOR HNW HOME IN SOMERSET/WILTSHIRE

We are working with an amazing family to source a highly skilled and experienced full-time live-out Housekeeper for their large prestigious estate based in North East Somerset/Wiltshire. Working as part of a team alongside the Head Housekeeper and a part-time housekeeper, you will have an excellent eye for detail and a strong team player mentality. Responsible for laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management, you will ensure that the high standards of cleanliness are maintained across the property and assist with ad-hoc errand running duties.

This is a busy informal family home with additional outbuildings, so requires a Housekeeper who is energetic, hardworking and has very high standards of cleaning – expert knowledge in care of fine fabrics, high-end furniture and artwork are also essential. No childcare duties will be required, but the successful candidate must be child friendly, as well as pet friendly.

Usual working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8am-4:40pm, and from 8am-3:30pm on a Friday. Occasional weekend or evening work might be required by prior arrangement when the family are entertaining. Due to the location of the property, a driver with their own reliable transport is required.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Daily cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, hoovering, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen
• Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe management, including caring for fine fabrics
• Care of high-end furniture and artwork
• Packing and unpacking for the principals
• Polishing silver and glassware
• Rubbish and recycling management
• Greeting guests and offering refreshments
• Managing stocks of cleaning products
• Flower arranging
• Pet care
• Ad-hoc duties as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior housekeeping experience in a high-end private household
• Excellent knowledge of cleaning products and care of fine fabrics and furniture
• Fluency in English – spoken and written
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Hardworking and dedicated
• High attention to detail
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Trustworthy and reliable
• DBS checked or willingness to undertake one
• Own reliable transport and a valid UK driving license
• Excellent checkable references
