PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER FOR WEEKEND HOME IN SURREY

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced part-time Housekeeper to work for a HNW family in their large 3-bedroom home in the Surrey countryside, near Guildford. Based in London, the family primarily visit their Surrey home over weekends and sometimes for longer periods over the holidays, so require a local housekeeper to get the home set up pre-arrival, and turned over again after they depart.

The successful candidate will have prior experience in high-end luxury homes and have excellent knowledge of cleaning products and know how to care for delicate surfaces and fine furnishings. Responsible for setting up guest bedrooms, ensuring that the fridge and pantry are stocked with fresh produce, flower arranging and the general organisation of the property, you will also manage the laundry and ironing, as well as all general and deep cleaning in between visits.

The core working hours for the role will be 8 hours per day on a Friday and a Monday, and ideally the candidate will also be available to work more days per week when they stay for longer periods during the holidays. If the Housekeeper would like to also work a few hours on a Saturday and Sunday while they are in residence, the family are happy to offer more hours, but this is not essential. Due to the rural location of the property, a driver with their own reliable transportation is required for this role.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Cleaning including dusting, hoovering, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen, lounges and living spaces
• All general cleaning and organisation in the home
• Polishing silver and glassware
• Cleaning marble, rare woods, and other fine materials
• Setting up bedrooms and bathrooms - making beds and ensuring all amenities, towels and products are stocked in the bathrooms
• Rubbish and recycling management
• Managing stocks of cleaning products
• Ensuring fresh produce is in stock in the fridge and pantry ahead of the family’s arrival
• Flower arranging
• Liaising with contractors and tradesmen where required
• Ad-hoc duties as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior housekeeping experience in a high-end private household
• Fluency in English and a clear and concise communicator
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• High attention to detail
• Driver with own reliable transport
• Flexibility and willingness to work over weekends and holidays when needed
• Able to work independently with little supervision
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Excellent checkable references
