PART-TIME HOUSE MANAGER/COOK REQUIRED FOR HNW FAMILY IN KENSINGTON
Location: South Kensington, London
Contract: Part-time, Permanent (30 hours per week)
Salary: £20-£25 per hour, negotiable DOE
Status: Live-out
We are assisting a HNW family of four with the recruitment of a versatile and organised part-time House Manager/Cook/Driver for their family home in South Kensington. The ideal candidate will be a friendly and well-presented team player, able to liaise with service providers and the wider team, including two housekeepers.
The role will require a responsible and reliable all-rounder with a can-do attitude, proactive approach, and the ability to work autonomously. A confident cook, you will prepare and cook dinner for the family daily, and though no professional qualifications are required, you should be able to prepare a wide range of well-presented and flavourful family-style meals. Being a confident London-driver is an essential part of this role, as other duties will include driving the children to and from after-school activities and appointments, as well as errand running and grocery shopping.
Working hours will be from Monday to Friday, 3pm-9pm, with some flexibility to work the occasional weekend (by prior arrangement). This role will be on payroll, but the family might also consider a self-employed candidate.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Cooking for the family – family style, healthy and varied cuisines
• Setting up & clearing dinner
• Grocery and household shopping; managing stocks
• Driving the children to and from activities and appointments
• Errand running
• Liaising with suppliers, tradesmen, and contractors
• Working collaboratively with the wider team to ensure the smooth running of the property
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior experience working for HNW clients
• Confident cook with good health & hygiene practices
• Fluency in spoken English & eligibility to work in the UK
• Full, clean UK driving license & confident London driver
• Hardworking and dedicated
• High attention to detail and exacting standards
• Able to work independently, trustworthy and reliable
• Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent checkable references
