A lovely high-net-worth family are looking to hire an experienced, energetic, and self-directed live-in Nanny to assist with the care of heir two children aged 6 and 13. A busy family home, our clients are looking for someone who has relevant childcare experience with children of similar ages, a positive can-do attitude and a team player mentality.

Ensuring that the children feel safe and cared for, the role will be a mix of sole care and shared care, so brilliant communication skills are required to ensure the smooth running of the family’s day. You will accompany the children on the school drop off/pick up with the family Chauffeur, and assist the younger child with schoolwork. Energetic, proactive and engaging, you will also oversee playtime with the younger child and organise after-school activities such as cultural excursions, nature walks, and arts and crafts activities.

The family employ a full-time daily housekeeper, but a flexible approach and willingness to assist with household chores will be required for this role. Other responsibilities will include light cooking and preparation of snacks for the children, washing and ironing the children’s clothes and cleaning/tidying the children’s bedroom and playroom. Occasionally the younger child will wake in the night due to a nightmare or needing to use the bathroom, and the Nanny should be prepared to attend to the child in this case.

A live-in role, core working hours will be from 7am-7pm, 5 days per week, including weekends, with two days to be taken off during the week. Accommodation is provided in a large apartment at the family’s residence on the first floor with access via a separate front door. You will have your own en-suite bedroom as well as separate kitchen/dining area. The family often travel during the school holidays and would require the Nanny to travel with them from time to time.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior private Nanny experience in a high-net-worth household
• Proven experience caring for children of similar ages
• Good knowledge of child development and milestones
• Flexibility to travel with the family during school holidays
• Well-mannered and a pleasure to have around
• Organised and methodical
• Lots of initiative, creative and playful
• Willingness to assist with household chores & child-related housekeeping duties
• Excellent English language skills
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• DBS check or willingness to obtain one
• Excellent checkable references
