A wonderful opportunity has become available for an experienced Housekeeper to work for a HNW Couple at their Belgravia home. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated and professional Housekeeper with a team player mentality, able to work as part of a small team to ensure the smooth running of the household. A semi-formal home, you will be well-presented with excellent communication skills, as well as positive and personable, whilst still remaining discreet and boundaried.

Self-directed, proactive, and able to use your initiative, you will ensure that the highest level of cleanliness across the property is maintained year-round. Jointly responsible for all hands-on cleaning, laundry, and ironing, you will also organise dry cleaning, shopping, household inventories and manage any contractors or service providers who visit the property.

You will care for art, china, crystal, silver and other collectibles, so prior experience in a similar role in a high-end private household is imperative, as is having excellent knowledge of cleaning products and knowledge of how to care for furniture and surfaces with high-end finishes. It would be an added bonus if you were able to cook simply family-style meals, though this is not a strict requirement of the role.

Working 45 hours per week across 5 days per week with two consecutive days off, flexibility is essential for this role and will include weekend work and different shifts, depending on the principals’ schedules. Shifts are usually from 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm or 11am-8pm. There are pets at the property, so being pet friendly and willing to assist with pet care duties when required is essential for this role.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Cleaning including dusting, hoovering, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms
• Cleaning of antiques, fine china, and silverware and surfaces such as leather and glass
• Laundry care, including caring for delicate items, ironing and arranging dry cleaning
• Ensuring all bedrooms are guest ready and set up
• Wardrobe management; assisting with packing and unpacking
• Running errands, providing concierge duties such as ordering taxis etc.
• Shopping and ensuring all household essentials and cleaning products are in stock
• Coordinating deliveries and maintenance visits
• Ad-hoc pet care
• Cooking of simple, tasty, classic meals (beneficial but not essential)

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
• Prior housekeeping experience in a high-end private household
• Loyalty and trustworthiness; proven longevity in prior positions
• Fluency in English and eligibility to work in the UK
• High attention to detail and strong initiative
