A terrific opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Housekeeper/Cook to work for a HNWI at their Central London home on a live-out or live-in basis. Working alongside a full-time senior housekeeper, you will have excellent housekeeping and laundry skills, as well as being a proficient cook who is happy to prepare a wide variety of family style meals. You will be friendly, professional and outgoing, have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and team player mentality, as well as the ability to adapt to any changes seamlessly.

The role will be a mix between cooking and housekeeping, depending on the principal’s schedule, so the ideal candidate will be versatile, dynamic, and determined with a good sense of humour. This large, modern 4-bedroom luxury home has been finished to a very high specification, and there are lots of art works and antiques, as well as fine fabrics, so you will need to have excellent knowledge of how to care for luxury furnishings and finishes. Jointly responsible for laundry and ironing, to include caring for high-end couture garments and delicates, you will be meticulous in your work and be a good communicator, able to liaise with a range of service providers.

Occupied by a busy high-net-worth business professional, you will need to provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner as required and should be able to cook for up to 8 people when the principal entertains. Responsible for errand running, grocery shopping (in person and online), as well as stock rotation and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen, you will be highly organised and manage your time effectively to ensure the smooth running of the household. There are a few dogs in the home, so being pet friendly is an essential requirement for this role.

Working from Monday to Friday, usual working hours will be from 9am-5pm, but flexibility will be required to work occasional evenings and weekends (overtime paid). If needed, accommodation can be provided in a private en-suite bedroom in the home with shared living/dining/kitchen facilities. Currently no travel is required for this role, though this might change in the future, in which case sufficient notice will be given.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Preparing and cooking wholesome, homemade dishes for the principal and any guests
• Laying out and putting breakfast away; preparing and serving lunch and dinner as required
• Grocery shopping, stock rotation and maintaining a hygienic kitchen
• General housekeeping and caring for antiques and art works
• Laundry and ironing, including handling delicate items and couture garments
• Sending/collecting items from dry cleaners and logging everything that comes in/goes out
• Liaising with the wider team to ensure the household runs smoothly
• Dealing with service providers, tradesmen and contractors; receiving and unpacking deliveries
• Ad-hoc errand running
