We have an immediate vacancy for a highly experienced, discreet, and reliable private Chef to cater for a family at their home in Oxfordshire near Banbury on a part-time basis, starting on Saturday 17th June. You will be cooking for the family and any guests they may have, serve food and beverages throughout the day, and may also be required to cook for the household staff as required.

Duties will include cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen.
Our clients are looking for someone who has a good understanding of nutrition, capable of producing fresh, healthy meals. You will have a passion for healthy living, experience catering for various dietary requirements (including food intolerances) and possess a creative flair using both luxurious menus and cooking at a more simple but healthy level.

You must have high standards and be flexible in your approach as things can change at short notice. The family are very down to earth and therefore looking for someone happy to roll up their sleeves and hit the ground running. Though the role is initially a temporary role, there is a good chance that it can develop into a permanent role, working 2-3 days per week on rotation with the family’s other chefs.

Experience working in a private household, or for high-net-worth individuals is advantageous but not essential. Reliability and flexibility are essential requirements for this role, along with proven longevity and loyalty to previous roles and employers.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
• Cooking breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Cooking healthy, fresh meals for the family of 5
• Catering for all dietary requirements and food intolerances
• Designing simple, wholesome meals, as well as luxurious, well presented dishes on occasion
• Serving food and beverages throughout the day
• Occasionally cooking for household staff
• Providing clear handovers to other chefs

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Previous experience as a Private Chef preferred but not essential
• Proven longevity in previous roles
• Based within a commutable distance from Banbury, ideally (they can consider candidates based further away too)
• Excellent understanding of nutrition and a passion for healthy cooking
• Proactive self-starter who can work autonomously
• Flexible, reliable, and able to take last-minute changes in your stride
