TEMPORARY LAUNDRESS FOR HOLLAND PARK PROPERTY

We are assisting a Middle Eastern UHNWI with the recruitment of a professional, experienced, and dedicated Temporary Laundress to work at their large property in Holland Park, London. The role is to start on the 2nd of June until the 20th of June, with the possibility of it being a bit longer, depending on the family’s schedule.

Responsible for managing all laundry duties for the duration of the family’s stay, you will be exceptionally confident in your laundry and ironing capabilities and be able to work in a fast and efficient manner whilst maintaining the highest standards. Laundering all personal clothing items for the family, including hand washing delicate items, you will have great knowledge of different fabric types and carefully follow care instructions.

Working from 9am-6pm, you will work 6 days per week, which might include a weekend day. Lunch will be provided on-site, and candidates must be self-employed (payroll not available for temporary staff). Bed linen is not laundered on site, but sent out to an independent laundry.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• General cleaning of the laundry room
• Management of all household laundry, including adult and children’s clothing
• Care and laundering of fine fabrics including cashmere, silks, bespoke suit materials etc.
• Hand washing and air-drying delicates
• Shoe cleaning
• Ironing, pressing, folding, and appropriately hanging/storing all items
• Assisting with ad-hoc housekeeping duties if and when required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior laundry experience in a high-end private household]
• Exceptional knowledge of fabrics
• Fluency in English and the right to live and work in the UK
• Hardworking, dedicated and high attention to detail
• Able to work independently with little supervision
• Team player with a positive attitude
• London based
• Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet
• Excellent checkable references
