We have a terrific opportunity for an experienced, hardworking, and talented Head Housekeeper to support a Middle Eastern UHNW family in their large private property in Central London. The client is looking to appoint an energetic, dedicated team player with exceptional organisation and communication skills.

Working alongside and leading a small housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the highest standards are maintained at all times. Very well-presented, self-motivated, and proactive, you will ensure that all household cleaning supplies, and everyday grocery items are in stock and appropriately rotated.

A fast-paced formal household, the role requires someone with an excellent eye for detail and a solid work ethic. It is imperative that you have excellent knowledge of different cleaning products and their uses, and proven experience maintaining luxury finishes and delicate surfaces. When the family are in residence, additional temporary housekeepers are recruited, so brilliant communication skills and the ability to train and mentor other housekeepers are essential.

The family are in residence for about 30% of the year (mostly over the summer), so for the majority of the year the role will be focused on ensuring the house is guest-ready and working hours will be Monday to Friday, from 9am-5pm. When the property is in use, the role will be 10 hours per day, 6 days per week. There are no pets at the property.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Daily housekeeping and cleaning of the property
• Cleaning and turning over bedrooms and bathrooms; ensuring all living and dining areas are clean and ready for use
• Working closely with the House Manager, creating rotas and schedules
• Supervising and working alongside other housekeepers, setting tasks and ensuring excellent quality of work
• Overseeing laundry and assisting with wardrobe management
• Assisting with table service as and when required
• Ensuring cleaning products are in stock, liaising with suppliers and service providers
• Mentoring and training temporary housekeepers
• Ad-hoc errand running

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior experience as a Chief Stewardess onboard a yacht or Head Housekeeper in large private property
• Must have managed a small team before
• Hardworking with a ‘can-do’ positive attitude
• A strong multitasker with a proactive, self-motivated nature
• London-based & have the right to live and work in the UK
• Fluent spoken English
• Great teamwork skills as well as the ability to work autonomously
• Excellent checkable references
