URGENT TEMPORARY BUTLER/HOUSEKEEPER – CHELSEA

A lovely ultra-high-net-worth client is looking to appoint an exceptional temporary Butler/Housekeeper to assist them in the smooth running of their large family home in Chelsea, London. You will have an exceptional eye for detail, as well as excellent service skills and very high housekeeping standards. Primarily focused on butler/service duties, you will provide a 6-star level of service to the principals and their guests and host events over the Easter period.

Responsibilities will include table set ups, flower arranging, formal table service, cocktail and wine service, as well as hot and cold beverage service throughout the day. A fully staffed household, you will work alongside 4 housekeepers and liaise closely with the family’s PA to ensure the smooth running of the household. Though focused on the service aspect, you will also be responsible for the housekeeping and turndown service of the main suite.

The ideal candidate will be personable, enthusiastic, energetic, and confident, someone who is confident with meeting, greeting, and serving guests. This is a busy family home, so it requires a flexible team player, happy to assist wherever required and a background in the yachting industry is highly desirable, ideally as a second or chief stewardess.

Working 5 days per week (including weekends) with 2 consecutive days off, working hours are 10 hours per day, working in a shift pattern to cover either the early or the late shift, depending on the family’s schedule. This is ideally a live-out role, but for the right candidate, a live-in option might be possible.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Formal food & beverage service; table set ups and flower arranging
• Meeting, greeting and welcoming guests
• Hosting events at the property, including over the Easter period
• Managing pantry items, ensuring there is sufficient stock at all times
• Coordinating and receiving deliveries
• Liaising with the Chef and PA to ensure the day runs smoothly
• Housekeeping & turndown service of the main suite
• Ad-hoc duties as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior stewardess experience on super yachts or high-end private households
• Good knowledge of cleaning products and able to care for high-end furnishings and fabrics
• Knowledge and experience of formal table service
• Fluency in English
• Eligibility to work in the UK
• Hardworking and dedicated; high attention to detail
• Flexibility with hours and duties
• Trustworthy and reliable
• Excellent checkable references
