A lovely young family based in Chelsea, London, are looking for an experienced and versatile Tagalog-speaking Housekeeper to join their team on a full-time basis. A fully staffed residence, you will work alongside two or three other housekeepers and have an exceptional eye for detail, as well as excellent knowledge of cleaning products and know how to care for fine fabrics and finishes in order to keep this luxury home in pristine condition.

The role will require a variety of duties and responsibilities including all general and deep cleaning tasks, wardrobe management, laundry and ironing, as well as packing and unpacking suitcases. A busy family home with two school-aged children, the family also employ a Governess, Chef, and Driver, so they are looking for a child-friendly all-rounder candidate with a positive, team player mentality who is happy to muck in where required.

The role will also require the Housekeeper to prepare breakfast for the family from time to time, so the ideal candidate will have good basic cooking skills and a willingness to assist with meal preparation when required. It is important that the successful candidate is pet friendly and is happy to undertake pet care duties as part of the role, as the family own dogs.

The role is to work 5 days per week (including some weekends) with 2 consecutive days off. Accommodation is provided in a staff house near the family’s home where you will have your own private bedroom. As part of the role, you will also be required to travel internationally with the family from time to time, so it is essential that you are flexible to do so.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• General cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, polishing, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen
• Wardrobe management
• Packing and unpacking for trips and holidays
• Laundry and ironing
• Light cooking, preparing breakfast for the family
• Assisting the Governess with childcare when required
• Reporting to the House Manager and liaising with other household staff to ensure the day runs smoothly
• Pet care
• Travelling internationally with the family from time to time
• Ad-hoc duties as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior housekeeping experience in high-end private households
• Good knowledge of cleaning products and able to care for high-end furnishings and fabrics
• Child friendly and pet friendly
• Basic cooking skills
• Fluency in English & Tagalog-speaking
• Eligibility to work in the UK and a willingness to travel abroad with the family when required
