JUNIOR HOUSEKEEPER & LADY’S MAID FOR UHNW FAMILY
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Housekeeper to join an ultra-high net worth family on a permanent basis as part of their housekeeping team. Located in Mayfair, Central London, the property has 10+ bedrooms and has been finished to the highest specification. The ideal candidate will be hard working, intelligent and energetic and have an excellent eye for detail, as well as a ‘can-do’ attitude.
A fully staffed household occupied by a multi-generational family, you will work as part of a small team within a certain section of the home, looking after the needs of two principals, so being self-directed, proactive, and having excellent interpersonal skills are essential requirements for this role. As well as general cleaning and tidying on a daily basis, you will work closely with the female principal and manage her wardrobe, care for her garments, and pack and unpack for trips. Laundry duties will not be required, but knowledge of laundry procedures and the care of fine fabrics are essential.
The working week will be +/- 45 hours, spread across 5 days per week (including weekend work with two consecutive days off during the week). Core working hours will be 10/11am to 7/8pm, but great flexibility is required to ensure the smooth running of the household. Though predominantly working independently or alongside one other team member, you must be a team player with exceptional communication skills and pet friendly, as there are two small dogs and two cats at the property.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Daily housekeeping and cleaning of your designated area at the property
• Cleaning and turning over bedrooms, making beds
• Wardrobe management
• Packing and unpacking for trips
• Working closely with the principals to ensure that all their needs are met
• Flower arrangement
• Liaising with other team members when needed
• Assisting the wider housekeeping team as and when required
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior housekeeping experience in a private household or yacht stewardess experience
• Hardworking with a ‘can-do’ positive attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
• A strong multi-tasker, organised and meticulous
• Knowledgeable about the care of high-end couture garments
• Experienced in packing and unpacking of suitcases
• London-based and within a reasonable commutable distance from the property
• Fluent spoken English and the right to live and work in the UK
• Great teamwork skills as well as the ability to work autonomously
• Excellent checkable references
If this role sounds of interest and you meet the essential criteria, then please apply within, or get in touch to find out more.
