HANDS-ON HOUSE MANAGER FOR UHNW PROPERTY

An international UHNWI is currently looking to appoint a highly organised and flexible House Manager to manage the day to day running of their beautiful luxury property in Central London. Used as a secondary residence, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the property in their absence, managing a small team of staff, and work in a hands-on front of house capacity to ensure that all of the principals’ needs are met when they are in residence.

This is a varied role overseeing all operations of the household which will include managing household bills, personal shopping, liaising with contractors and service providers to ensure the maintenance aspects of the property are looked after, as well as staff management. You will have excellent butler/front of house skills and be able to prepare and serve drinks throughout the day, set up tables and serve at mealtimes, as well as ensuring that the pantry is stocked, and the inventory kept up to date.

Responsible for ensuring that high standards are maintained in the home, you will be proactive, hardworking, well-presented and a team player with a can-do attitude. You will be required to work 6 days per week when the principals are in residence, and precise working hours will depend on the principals’ schedule. When the property is not occupied, working hours are reduced and more flexible.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Front of house duties, food & beverage service, including formal service
• Running personal errands and shopping, as requested
• Shopping for and ordering household items and groceries
• Ensuring all aspects of the house are in order; arranging contractors to undertake household maintenance as necessary
• Managing work schedules of other household staff
• Liaising with the principals/PA on travel plans and daily activities
• Effectively managing household accounts
• Developing household manuals and procedures

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior experience as a House Manager and ideally butler experience/training too
• Formal service experience
• Hardworking, loyal, and discreet
• Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills; a good level of spoken English
• Flexible and willing to undertake a varied role
• Highly organised and proactive
• Live within a commutable distance from Kensington
• Well-presented and articulate
• Right to live and work in the UK
• Excellent checkable references
