We are working with a wonderful UHNWI to source an energetic, experienced, and highly organised Butler/House Manager to manage their large 7-storey property in Central London on a permanent basis. The property is brand new and will not be occupied full-time but will be used on an ad-hoc basis by the principal, primarily for entertaining guests and hosting events.

This role requires a candidate with outstanding organisational and events management skills, as well as formal butler training or proven longevity as a Butler, Chief Stew or Lead Service onboard a super yacht. Primarily responsible for organising functions and events, you will be well-connected in London and build strong relationships with service providers and vendors. Responsible for all service requirements at the property, your food and beverage knowledge will be second to none and your service and interpersonal skills impeccable.

You must be quick-thinking, unflappable, and able to accommodate any last-minute changes or requests with a ‘can-do’ attitude. Furthermore, you will be hard working, self-motivated and flexible, as well as being a team player with brilliant communication skills, able to work collaboratively with the larger team to ensure the smooth running of the property and the principal’s day.

A live-out role, your working schedule will be flexible when the principal is not in residence, with a great deal of flexibility required when the property is occupied. It is essential that the Butler/House Manager is exceptionally well presented and discreet, as well as intuitive, trustworthy, and reliable.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Front of house duties, food & beverage service, including formal service
• Running personal errands and shopping, as requested
• Shopping for and ordering household items and groceries
• Maintaining service pantries & inventory management
• Liaising with the wider team with regards to the principal’s schedule
• Arranging parties, events, and other functions
• Liaising with suppliers and vendors; liaising with the Chef with regards to menus and mealtimes
• Report on works being carried out in the property

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior experience as a Butler/House Manager
• Formal butler training or experience in a similar role onboard a super yacht
• Formal & informal service experience; exceptional food & beverage knowledge
• Hardworking, energetic, and discreet
• Excellent interpersonal and managerial skills; a good level of spoken English
• Flexible in terms of duties and working hours
• Well-presented and articulate
• London-based & have the right to live and work in the UK
• Excellent checkable references
