TEMP SERVICE HOUSEKEEPER/JUNIOR BUTLER – LONDON

We are working with a fantastic UHNWI based in Mayfair looking to appoint an energetic, organised and impeccably presented temporary Service Housekeeper/Junior Butler to take on a fast-paced and varied role. Reporting to and working alongside the House Manager, you will be a team player with exceptional service and interpersonal skills, and ideally come from a yachting background, although this is not essential.

Responsible for food and beverage service and set-ups, you will have excellent knowledge and experience of various service styles, including silver service, and will ideally also have good wine and cocktail knowledge. Further duties will include wardrobe management, packing/unpacking for the principal and luggage management.

This is a fast-moving household with high standards where things can change at the last minute, so being a brilliant communicator with a positive and friendly disposition, as well as a willingness to muck in where required are essential requirements for this temporary role. Additional duties will include assisting the Housekeeper as and when required and ad-hoc errand running.

A live-out position, this is ideally a 6-day per week role, working 9 hours per day with flexibility required in terms of the shift, depending on the principal’s schedule. The role is to start from the 25th of November, through to the 29th of December. The principal has a dog, so being pet friendly is essential.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Table settings and decorations
• Serving food and drinks, mixing cocktails
• Flower arranging
• Running personal errands and shopping, as requested
• Liaising with other staff members to ensure the principal’s day runs smoothly e.g., coordinating mealtimes with the Chef, checking travel plans with the House Manager etc.
• Wardrobe management
• Packing/unpacking for the principal
• Reporting any issues to the House Manager

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior experience in service-orientated role, preferably on a superyacht or high-end household
• Good service experience
• Hardworking, loyal, and discreet
• Brilliant interpersonal skills and highly organised
• Impeccably presented and a positive, can-do attitude
• Flexible and willing to undertake a varied role with varying working hours
• Well-spoken and articulate
• London-based & eligibility to live and work in the UK
• Fluency in English – written and spoken
• Excellent checkable references
