EXPERIENCED FULL TIME HOUSEKEEPER – OXFORDSHIRE
We are assisting a HNW family based in North Oxfordshire with the recruitment of an experienced and meticulous Housekeeper to join their team on a full-time, live-out basis. The family are looking to appoint a dedicated, friendly, and hardworking Housekeeper with a good eye for detail for the long term.
Daily duties will include cleaning of fittings and fixtures, tidying and cleaning of bedrooms, bathrooms, and other living areas, as well as assisting with laundry as and when required. With prior experience and excellent knowledge of how to care for luxury furnishings and the use of appropriate cleaning products, you will work alongside three other housekeepers and report to the House Manager on a daily basis to ensure the smooth running of the family’s home. Excellent knowledge of the care of high-end and delicate fabrics is essential for this role.
Working 5 days per week on a rolling schedule (to include some weekends), core working hours are from 9am-6pm. Pet-friendly and living within a commutable distance from the property, you must be a discreet team player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Ensuring standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all bedrooms, corridors, guest rooms and all other areas are maintained to the highest level
• Cleaning accommodation areas, which includes changing bed linen, making beds, replacing towels, cleaning bathrooms thoroughly, vacuuming, mopping, and dusting
• Laundry of clothing - care and laundering of fine fabrics including cashmere, silks, bespoke suit materials etc.
• Laundering of fine bed and table linens
• Ironing, pressing, folding, and appropriately hanging/storing all items
• Prepare rooms for guests’ arrival
• Reporting any household maintenance required to the House Manager
• Undertake additional duties from time to time within the responsibility level of the post
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior housekeeping experience in a high-end private household or bespoke hotel
• Fluency in English and the eligibility to work in the UK
• Exceptional eye for detail
• Discreet, unobtrusive, and adaptable
• Able to work independently with little supervision whilst still being a good team player
• Live within a commutable distance from Banbury (no more than 45-60mins drive)
• DBS check or willingness to obtain a DBS check
• Excellent checkable references
