A fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced and knowledgeable Laundress to work for a lovely HNW family on a part-time basis in their North Oxfordshire residence. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled at laundry, the care of fine linen and clothing, as well as being skilled with shoe care, handbag care and wardrobe management.

You will work alongside the existing household team and housekeepers to ensure that the clothing, linen, and high-end, delicate garments are kept in beautiful condition. Able to deal with stains and helping with clothing repairs when needed (with specialist support from designers) you will be a team player with excellent communication skills.

The successful candidate should have a passion for clothing and fine linens, strong initiative, and an eye for detail. Prior experience is required, either from an upmarket hotel laundry background and/or private households. Pet-friendly and living within a commutable distance from the property, a driving license is essential for this role.

Working 3 days per week, you will work a total of 25-30 hours per week and any additional hours worked will be paid in overtime.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Laundry of all clothing - care and laundering of fine fabrics including cashmere, silks, bespoke suit materials etc.
• Laundering of fine bed and table linens
• Ironing, pressing, folding, and appropriately hanging/storing all items
• Tailoring and alterations of clothing
• Assisting with clothing and wardrobe management as required
• Managing and caring for extensive shoe collection
• Assisting other team members with housekeeping tasks if required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior laundress experience in a high-end private household or bespoke hotel
• Fluency in English and the eligibility to work in the UK
• Exceptional eye for detail
• Passionate about clothing and fine linens
• Seamstress knowledge and experience
• Discreet, unobtrusive, and adaptable
• Able to work independently with little supervision whilst still being a good team player
• Live within a commutable distance from Banbury
• DBS-checked
• Excellent checkable references
