PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER FOR FAMILY IN ST JOHN’S WOOD

We are working with lovely high-net-worth family to source a trustworthy and hardworking part-time Housekeeper for their large family home in St John’s Wood. Working alongside a full-time live-in Housekeeper, you will be a team player with a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude, able to follow instruction, but also able to work independently without supervision.

You will ensure that very high standards of cleanliness are maintained across the property, and duties will include laundry, ironing, tidying, and assisting with very basic cooking duties from time to time. The ideal candidate will be organised, friendly, personable, and professional, and have good knowledge of different cleaning products and their uses. The family entertain quite frequently, so having knowledge of table settings would be highly advantageous.

Working hours will be from 2pm-7pm, Wednesday to Sunday. Occasionally, you might be asked to work a few extra hours when the family are entertaining, and this will be paid as overtime. The family have a dog, so being pet friendly is essential for this role.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
• Daily cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen
• Laundry, ironing, including caring for fine fabrics
• General tidying across the property
• Assisting with basic food preparation from time to time
• Laying tables
• Liaising with tradesmen and contractors
• Liaising with other household staff to ensure the smooth running of the home
• Ad-hoc duties as required

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior housekeeping experience in a high-end private household
• Fluency in English and eligibility to work in the UK
• Exceptionally trustworthy and reliable
• Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
• Strong organisational skills
• High attention to detail
• Excellent checkable references
