TEMP SOUS CHEF FOR UHNW FAMILY – LONDON


A brilliant opportunity has become available for an experienced Sous Chef to support an ultra-high net worth family in a temporary capacity in their Central London residence. The family will be in residence for 4-6 weeks from the middle of June and are looking to appoint a temporary staff Sous Chef for this period to support the Head Chef in catering for the family and their guests.

They are seeking a Sous Chef with a varied repertoire, including European and Ottolenghi style dishes, and preferably someone with previous Michelin-star experience. Supporting the Head Chef, you will assist with breakfast, lunch and dinner preparations and be a quick and efficient worker with exceptionally high standards.

Working 6 days per week, you will work 9/10 hours per day – exact shifts to be confirmed with the Head Chef.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
• Preparing meals in accordance with principals’ recipes or tastes, taking into consideration special dietary requirements and cultural/religious practices
• Maintain kitchen (including all equipment, appliances, supplies) to a superior level of cleanliness and hygiene
• Maintaining daily communication with the principals/Head Chef regarding requests for meals and any requirements for the kitchen and/or food preparation
• Grocery shopping and sourcing of ingredients
• Ensuring refrigerator and dry store areas are clean and out-of-date items discarded
• Waste management

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior professional Chef experience, ideally in a Michelin-star restaurant
• Varied repertoire to include Ottolenghi-style dishes, European, Middle Eastern etc.
• Exceptionally organised with a good eye for detail
• Versatile, adaptable, and flexible
• Able to remain calm under pressure
• Team player mentality
• Professional, approachable, and discreet
• Proactive self-starter who can work autonomously
• Fluency in English
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK
• Excellent checkable references
