PRIVATE CHEF REQUIRED FOR UHNW FAMILY IN LONDON

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Chef to support an ultra-high net worth family in their Central London residence. The family are looking to appoint a talented, experienced, and organised Chef to ensure the smooth running of their household and prior experience within an UHNW residence is preferred.

The family are looking for a hard working and meticulous Chef with an exceptional eye for detail. You will be professional, loyal, self-motivated and be an excellent team player who isn't afraid to get their hands dirty. Cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner for the family on a daily basis, you will present the family with fresh, nutritious, and delicious meals and be able to cater to the family’s dietary requirements and preferences. The family enjoy a large variety of cuisines and especially enjoy Mediterranean, Asian, and Indian cuisines.

You will be organised, unflappable and have excellent time management skills, as well as maintaining a high level of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times. Cooking for two principals for 9 months of the year, you should also be comfortable preparing and cooking meals for up to 12 guests when the whole family are in residence for up three months of the year (spread out over 3-4 visits).

Working Monday to Saturday, usual working hours will be 8am-5pm, but some flexibility is required, especially during the period of time that the whole family are in residence. This is a live-out role, but the successful candidate will be required to sleep in (in a private bedroom) once a week, on a Friday night, to cover for the House Manager on their night off.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
• Preparing meals in accordance with principals’ recipes or tastes, taking into consideration special dietary requirements and cultural/religious practices
• Maintain kitchen (including all equipment, appliances, supplies) to a superior level of cleanliness and hygiene
• Maintaining daily communication with the principals regarding requests for meals and any requirements for the kitchen and/or food preparation
• Grocery shopping, building relationships with local suppliers
• Ensuring refrigerator and dry store areas are clean and out-of-date items discarded
• Waste management

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Prior professional Chef experience supporting an ultra-high net worth individual or family
• Exceptionally organised with a good eye for detail
• Versatile, adaptable, and flexible
• Able to remain calm under pressure
• Team player mentality
• Professional, approachable, and discreet
• Proactive self-starter who can work autonomously
• Fluency in English
• Eligibility to live and work in the UK
• Female candidates preferred due to religious reasons
• Excellent checkable references
