PART-TIME SYSTEM MAINTENANCE/HANDYMAN REQUIRED
PART-TIME SYSTEM MAINTENANCE/HANDYMAN REQUIRED FOR INNOVATIVE LONDON-BASED COMPANY
We are assisting an innovative, rapidly growing London-based business that creates, sells and manages small city farms with the recruitment of a hard-working and dedicated part-time maintenance/Handyman to join their team on a permanent basis. They provide an ongoing service to their clients, which requires frequent dismantling and cleaning of the farm systems, which takes place at their Paddington base in Central London.
Duties will require removing organic build up in the farm systems by means of pressure washer, steam cleaner and food-safe cleaning products, and then reassembling the system. Though no heavy lifting will be required, this is a hands-on, labour-intensive role that requires a candidate who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in.
The ideal candidate will have sound judgment in practical matters, be able to follow detailed instructions and have excellent communication skills, providing daily updates to management on what tasks were completed in order for inventories to remain updated. The building has many stairs, and the candidate might be required to move between different levels during their shift, so a good level of physical fitness is required.
Working 3 days per week from 9am-5pm, the clients would ideally like for the Maintenance/Handyman to work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but can be flexible to accommodate different weekdays for the right candidate. The role can be undertaken on a self-employed basis, or on payroll.
DAILY DUTIES TO INCLUDE, BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
•Dismantling the farm systems and reassembling them once cleaned
•Removing organic build up from the systems by means of pressure washing, steam cleaning and food-safe cleaning products
•Providing daily updates to managers on tasks completed
•Reporting any damage or maintenance issues to management
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
•High standard of cleaning
•Ability to follow detailed instructions and work autonomously
•Reliable, hardworking, and efficient
•Good level of English
•Organised and meticulous, with a high level of attention to detail
•Good common sense and consistency
•London based
•Eligibility to work in the UK
•Excellent checkable references
