Our clients are looking to hire a talented and experienced live-out Housekeeper/Cook for their family home in Kensington.  The family split their time between their beautiful London home and their country estate in South West England.

This is a full time, permanent role and would suit an experienced, highly motivated Housekeeper/Cook with proven experience in a similar role who enjoys the variety of housekeeping and cooking healthy family meals.

An excellent team player you will work well with other household staff as well as being able to carry out duties autonomously. You will be hands on in all general housekeeping duties and maintaining the home to a high standard. Care of the laundry to include handwashing of delicate fabrics, ironing, wardrobe management and be extremely knowledgeable in caring for fine furnishings and knowing which cleaning products can and cannot be used on various high-quality surfaces.  Additionally, you will be responsible for flower arranging, watering plants, ordering kindling for the fireplaces, overseeing contractors and ad-hoc duties such as answering the door, taking telephone messages, dropping off and collecting dry cleaning.

Adept in the kitchen you will cook lovely family meals each day for the family of 5, maintain budgets, online weekly grocery shopping, ensure the fridge is clean and regularly checked to ensure freshness of food items, the pantry is stocked and everything is well organised. 

The ideal candidate will enjoy being in a family household environment and want to muck-in where needed such as; occasional child-minding or school pick-ups for one child, be on hand to assist when the family are entertaining, taking care of the four family dogs including grooming and taking them for walks and of course feeding them.

This is a 5-day week working Monday – Friday, 10am – 7pm with pre-arranged childminding some evenings). A Daily, live out position of trust being a key holder when the family travel and you are entrusted to house/pet sit.


DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
·       Management of all household laundry, including clothing, fine fabrics, linens etc.
·       Ironing, pressing, folding and appropriately hanging/storing all items
·       Daily cleaning of the property including brass and delicate furniture
·       Ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the household
·       Cooking the family’s evening meal on a daily basis
·       Occasional child and pet care
·       Grocery shopping and taking stock of all household items
·       Managing external contractors
·       Deal quickly and responsibly with any issues that arise
 

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
·        Previous experience supporting a UHNW family within a private household
·        Very high attention to detail with a n unflappable nature
·        A positive, can-do attitude
·        Good standard of written and spoken English
·        Discrete and happy in your work
·        Longevity as demonstrated by previous employment
·        Ability to multitask and prioritize accordingly
·        Right to work within the UK
·        Excellent checkable references
